Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Cast Steel and Stainless Steel Valve parts are manufactured by Dikkan Metal A.S. which is part of the Dikkan Cooperation.Bronze, Gunmetal, Low-Zinc Bronze, Zinc-Free Bronze, Tin Bronze, Aluminium Bronze and all other Copper alloys are casted by Iz-Metal A.S. Having obtained a good share in the world market, Dikkan exports to USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Holland, Sweden, France, China, Croatia, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Africa, the Middle East Countries and the Turk Republices. Physical and Mechanical analyses are performed in Dikkan’s well equipped laboratories trough a spectrometer, hardness measuring device, PC supported metal microscope, elongation tensile measurement machine, notch/stroke test device. Test results are appraised on the Certificate of Manufacture and 3.1 Inspection Certificate according to DIN EN 10204 norm. Production is certified by Lloyd's Register for ISO 9001:2008. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is not just a procedure that can be completed and put aside after watching a training video; it is a living culture practiced every day on the production floor, throughout every shift and in every aspect of daily operations.

To keep this culture alive, we organized an interactive OHS quiz for our colleagues who completed all online toolbox training sessions in April. Conducted across four sessions, the quiz assessed participants’ knowledge and awareness of the OHS topics covered throughout the month while aiming to encourage the application of the knowledge gained during the trainings in their daily work.

We congratulate Hakan Pala, who closely followed the process and demonstrated a strong commitment to learning, becoming this month’s winner. We also thank him for his valuable contribution to our safety culture.

İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği (İSG), sadece bir eğitim videosuyla rafa kalkacak bir prosedür değil; sahada, vardiyada ve makine başında her gün yaşayan bir kültürdür.

Bu kültürü canlı tutmak amacıyla, Nisan ayında online toolbox eğitimlerimizi eksiksiz tamamlayan çalışma arkadaşlarımızla interaktif bir İSG yarışması düzenledik. Dört oturumdan oluşan yarışmada, ay boyunca ele alınan İSG konularına ilişkin bilgi ve farkındalık düzeyi ölçülürken, eğitimlerde paylaşılan bilgilerin günlük çalışma hayatına yansıması hedeflendi.

Süreci dikkatle takip eden ve öğrenmeye verdiği değerle bu ayın birincisi olan Hakan Pala’yı tebrik ediyor, güvenli çalışma kültürümüze sunduğu katkı için teşekkür ediyoruz.

Ductile Iron (or Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron) is a modern and durable type of cast iron discovered by Keith D. Millis in 1943. It takes its name from the fact that the carbon in its structure is found in a spherical (spheroidal) form, rather than in the flake-like structure seen in traditional cast iron. These spheres give the material ductile properties. These graphite nodules give the material its ductile properties. The production of ductile iron is based on adding magnesium to molten iron, which transforms the graphite into a spherical form. In the valve industry, ductile iron grades such as GGG 40 or GGG 50 are widely used as body materials. Thanks to its high strength, excellent impact resistance and good performance at low temperatures, ductile iron provides a reliable and long-lasting solution for large-diameter, high-pressure valve bodies used in water, gas and petrochemical pipelines.

Sfero Döküm (veya Küresel Grafitli Dökme Demir), 1943 yılında Keith D. Millis tarafından keşfedilmiş, dökme demirin modern ve dayanıklı bir çeşididir. Adını, yapısındaki karbonun geleneksel dökme demirdeki gibi lamelli yapı yerine, küresel (sferoidal) yapıda bulunmasından alır; bu küreler malzemeye sünek (ductile) özellik kazandırır. Sfero dökümün üretimi, erimiş demire magnezyum eklenerek grafitin küresel hale gelmesini sağlamaya dayanır. Our teams, representing the diverse dynamics of our company and working across various departments, successfully completed a productive two-day training program within Dikkan Academy.

During the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 awareness training led by Bureau Veritas, we covered methods for protecting environmental sustainability and strengthening occupational health and safety practices.

This important step will be further advanced through the ‘Internal Auditor’ program scheduled for June.

In this way, we continue to move forward with confidence toward our zero-risk target by ensuring full control and complete command in the field.

Şirketimizin farklı dinamiklerini temsil eden ve çeşitli departmanlarda görev yapan ekiplerimiz, Dikkan Akademi bünyesindeki iki günlük verimli eğitim programını başarıyla tamamladı.
