Co-organized by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the European Union (EU), the “Çeşme–Trieste Green Shipping Corridor” meeting and the “Turkish Maritime Fuel Transition Workshop,” held on March 26–27, successfully concluded with the participation of industry representatives.
Serving as an important platform to assess the evolving production and supply ecosystem for sustainable marine fuels and to strengthen collaboration among industry stakeholders, these gatherings addressed Türkiye’s strong position in the maritime sector, its sustainable fuel production capacity, and the new opportunities emerging in line with international maritime regulations.
As part of the workshop, a presentation titled “Powering the Green Corridor: Türkiye’s Marine Biofuel Ecosystem” was delivered by Selçuk Borovalı, Chair of the Biofuels Industry Association, and Seçkin Gül, General Manager of Arkas Bunker.

T.C. Ulaştırma ve Altyapı Bakanlığı, Avrupa İmar ve Kalkınma Bankası (EBRD) ve Avrupa Birliği (AB) iş birliğiyle 26–27 Mart tarihlerinde düzenlenen “Çeşme–Trieste Yeşil Denizcilik Koridoru” toplantısı ile “Türk Denizcilik Yakıt Dönüşümü Çalıştayı”, sektör temsilcilerinin katılımıyla başarıyla tamamlandı.
Sürdürülebilir denizcilik yakıtları alanında gelişen üretim ve tedarik ekosistemini değerlendirmek ve sektör paydaşları arasında iş birliğini güçlendirmek açısından önemli bir platform oluşturan bu toplantılarda; Türkiye’nin denizcilik sektöründeki güçlü konumu, sürdürülebilir yakıt üretim kapasitesi ile uluslararası denizcilik düzenlemeleri doğrultusunda ortaya çıkan yeni fırsatlar ele alındı.
Çalıştay kapsamında, Biyoyakıt Sanayi Derneği Başkanı Selçuk Borovalı ve Arkas Bunker Genel Müdürü Seçkin Gül tarafından “Powering the Green Corridor: Türkiye’s Marine Biofuel Ecosystem” başlıklı sunum gerçekleştirildi.
