63_“Whoever says, ‘La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadun rasul Allah’ (There is no deity but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah), wherever they may be, the light of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spreads within them. And this light passes through some people while they are unaware.”

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416
63_من قال ( لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله) في أي مكان كان، يسري فيه نور رسول الله ﷺ.
وهذا النور يمر على بعض الناس وهم لا يشعرون.

55_The Name of Allah is inscribed upon the heart of every believer, but it becomes veiled by sins and heedlessness. When one frequently remembers and repeats “There is no god but Allah,” it becomes manifest._

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
55_لفظ الجلالة مكتوب على قلب كل مؤمن، ولكن يُغطّى بالمعاصي والغفلة، فإذا أكثر من ذكر لا إله إلا الله يظهر.

54_The human being is created through reproduction, whereas the soul is: “from the command of my Lord” (Qur’an, Surah Al-Isra 17:85), meaning it is created without any intermediary, unlike the body, which was created from dust. Therefore, the soul is everlasting.

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
54_الإنسان مخلوقٌ بالتناسل، أما الروح فهي: ﴿ من أَمْرِ رَبِّي ﴾ [الإسراء / 85 ]، يعني بدون واسطة خلاف الجسد الذي خلق من تراب، لذا فهي باقية.

48_The one who carries gossip to you will also carry it from you to others. So say to him: “I do not listen.”
At that point, he will fear you and stop, because he does not fear Allah.
يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
48_مَن ينقل لك النميمة ينقل أيضاً منك لغيرك، فقل له: لا أسمع.
حينئذ يخاف منك فلا ينقل، فهو لا يخاف من الله.

My master, Shaykh Ahmad Fathullah Jami (may Allah have mercy on him), says in his book Sawanih Qalbiyyah page) (1416):
47_Remembrance (dhikr) is an act of worship, and supplication (du‘ā’) is also an act of worship, but there is a difference between them.

Supplication is asking Allah, the Almighty, for needs; whether worldly or related to the Hereafter, and both involve personal benefit.

As for remembrance (dhikr), it does not involve seeking personal gain, because it is not a request for anything.
يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
47_الذكر عبادة والدعاء عبادة، ولكن بينهما فرق، فالدعاء طلب من الله تعالى إما لحوائج دنيوية أو أخروية، وكلاهما حظوظ.
أما الذكر فليس فيه حظوظ، لأنه لا يطلب شيئاً.

46_The lack of voluntary acts of worship—beyond the obligatory duties—is not a disgrace for the believing wayfarer(Salik). However, the absence of sincerity distances even a praying believer from Paradise, closing for him the gate of Paradise and the gate of Allah’s mercy.
And the absence of sincerity is found among most people.

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
46_قلة العبادة - بعد الفرائض - للمؤمن السالك ليس عاراً، ولكن عدم الصدق يُبعِد المؤمن المصلي من الجنة، ويغلق عليه باب الجنة وباب رحمة الله.
وعدم الصدق يوجد في أكثر الناس.

44_Nothing benefits a person in this world except three things:
1- Spending time in the company of loved ones( i.e. Your Shaikh or brothers in sufi order) .
2 - Performing night prayer while reciting the Qur’an.
3 - Sitting alone in a quiet place and remembering your Lord.

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
44_لا شيء ينفع في الدنيا إلا ثلاث:

1- الاجتماع مع الأحباب.

2- التهجد بقراءة القرآن.

3- أن تقعد في مكان خال وتذكر ربك.

42_Whoever abandons following their desires, their heart will be filled with light, illumination, and radiance. They will detach from creation and remain with the Lord of creation. Otherwise, their heart will be filled with desire, becoming preoccupied with creation and distanced from the Lord of creation. Therefore, they must turn in repentance: “For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds” (Al-Furqan 25:70).

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
42_مَن ترك اتباع الهوى يُملأ قلبه بالنور والضوء والإشراق، ويفنى عن الخلق ويبقى مع رب الخلق وإلاَّ يَملأ قلبه الهوى، ويشتغل بالخلق ويبعد عن ربّ الخلق، فعليه بالتوبة: ﴿فأولئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ﴾ [ الفرقان / 70 ].

My master, Shaykh Ahmad Fathullah Jami (may Allah have mercy on him), says in his book Sawanih Qalbiyyah page) (1416):
40_There is no advice greater than the commandment of Allah, the Almighty, to His servants:
“O you who believe, fear(have taqwā with) Allah” (At-Tawbah 9:119).
And He did not suffice with commanding taqwā (God-consciousness), but added:
“And be with the truthful.”
So if you are not among the truthful, then be with them, so that you may benefit from their truthfulness.

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
40_ليس هناك وصيّة أفضل من وصية الله تعالى لعباده: ﴿ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا الله ﴾ [ التوبة / 119 ]، ولم يكتف بالتقوى بل قال: ﴿ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِين ﴾.
فإذا لم تكن صادقاً فكن مع الصادقين تستفد من صدقهم.

39_The worst state a person can be in is for their heart to be empty of the remembrance of Allah. When the heart is devoid of the remembrance of Allah Almighty, it turns toward creation and desires, becoming occupied with other than Allah; at that point, a person follows their whims.

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
39_شر أحوال الإنسان أن يكون قلبه خالياً عن ذكر الله. وإذا كان القلب خالياً عن ذكر الله تعالى ينتقل إلى الخلق والهوى ويشتغل بغير الله، حينذاك يتبع الهوى.

31_Allah the Almighty says:
(It is certainly We Who have revealed the Reminder (Qur'an) , and it is certainly We Who will preserve it.)
Just as Allah preserves the Qur’an, He also preserves its people; those who recite it and act upon it, so they comply with its commands and avoid its prohibitions as instructed.
O Allah, make us among the people of the Qur’an.
He is Guardian over all things, and He carries out His guardianship perfectly, without any deficiency
يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
33_قال الله تعالى:
﴿إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ﴾ [ الحجر / 9].
كما أن الله يحفظ القرآن فإنه يحفظ أهله الذين يقرؤونه ويعملون به، فيوافقون أوامره ويجتنبون نواهيه كما أمر.
اللهم اجعلنا من أهل القرآن. وهو على كل شيء وكيل، وهو يقوم بالوكالة التامة بدون نقصان.

31_The believer’s criterion (reference) is the noble Sacred Law, not people.
If you dislike someone, then let your dislike be for the sake of the Sacred Law (Share'a), not for personal reasons. If anger is in accordance with the Sacred law, then it is acceptable; but if it is for the self, then adhere to the verse:
“those who restrain their anger and pardon people” (Āl ʿImrān 3:134).

يقول سيدي الشيخ أحمد فتح الله جامي، رحمه الله تعالى، في كتابه (سوانح قلبية) 1416:
31_ميزان المؤمن الشرع الشريف وليس الخلق.
وإذا أبغضت أحداً فليكن بغضك من أجل الشرع، لا من أجل النفس. فإذا كان الغضب موافقا للشريعة هذا جيد، ولكن إذا كان للنفس فعليك ب: ﴿والكاظمين الغيظ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ﴾ [ آل عمران / 134 ].
