inzva inzva is Sanctuary of the Turkish hacker community. inzva is the sanctuary of the Turkish hacker community. All conducted in an anarchically open hacker spirit.

It’s a place where we can escape the city and stay to focus only on our work. We offer a quiet, peaceful and inspiring environment to work, stay and socialise. As an independent non-profit entity, we provide a neutral umbrella for all Turkish hackers. We organise open source days, algorithm competitions, training sessions, study groups and informative talks. We have an invitation-only, hierarchica

l inner circle of friends who believe in our cause. They are selected for their technical competency and organisational capacity. Join your forces for social good and technical depth.

Applied AI Study Group #10 is entering its final week before graduation. 💫

Gürkan Soykan will be guiding this week’s session on Advanced Computer Vision. Introducing Gürkan Soykan.

Gürkan is currently a Ph.D. researcher at Wageningen University & Research, where he works on Adaptive Digital Twins for Precision Agriculture, focusing on building AI-driven systems for smart greenhouses, hopefully with real-world and social impact.

He completed his M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at Koç University, where his research explored the interplay between language and vision.

Apart from research, he enjoys developing applications of all sorts, though most of them never leave localhost. 🐒 In his spare non-coding time, you can find him watching anime, playing post-apocalyptic video games, or doing yoga. 🤸‍♂️

See you at the session.

Week 5 of Applied AI Study Group is done!

Last Saturday we kicked off Computer Vision (our final module) with Berkin Deniz Kahya. Only 2 weeks left until graduation. 🎉 Let’s get to know Berkin.

Berkin Deniz is a graduate of Yıldız Technical University who has been studying Deep Learning since 2020. He has joined various programs at inzva and has been contributing to the inzva AI team as a member since 2023. He worked at ASIL Lab on the research of histopathological tumour segmentation images.

After that, he worked at Vitamu for a year, focusing on deep learning solutions for pathological findings in mammography images. Currently, he works as a researcher at Huawei, focusing on ranking and recall algorithms, while also exploring the alphabetical and phonetic properties of linguistics through ML. Outside of research, he is a cinema enthusiast and aspires to be the worst strategist in both PC and board games. 🎬
