Forest regeneration and the establishment of new forests are key long-term investments for both us and our parent company, Latvijas Finieris AS. The company currently manages over 15,000 hectares of land across Latvia.
In 2025:
✔️ 419 ha regenerated
✔️ ~800,000 seedlings planted
✔️ 204 ha of new forests established
✔️ Birch plantations expanded to over 3,000 ha
Forests are managed responsibly, balancing economic activity, nature conservation, and societal interests, while working closely with scientists to improve sustainable forestry practices.

The RTU - Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte History Museum has been enriched with unique exhibits – the RTU Time Book and the RTU History Micro Museum, created by students from the Institute of Architecture and Design.
The RTU History Micro Museum presents a contemporary approach to exhibition design. Combining 3D replicas, historical artefacts, and digital content, it reflects the evolution of the university across different eras — from the early days of Riga Polytechnicum to modern RTU.

Here too, Riga Mel birch plywood plays a central role, providing a durable, adaptable, and visually refined base for both physical and digital elements.

The annual Latvijas Finieris AS “Forest Days” is one of our favourite events — bringing together fresh air, time spent with colleagues, families and cooperation partners, plenty of smiles, and the satisfaction of meaningful work.

This time, 15,000 birch seedlings were planted. They will now grow and flourish, eventually forming a beautiful, tall birch grove.

Latvijas Finieris, the mother company of Riga Wood, invests EUR 100 million in expanding production in Rēzekne Municipality!

On 24 April 2026, one of the largest investment projects in Latvia was inaugurated in Vērēmu Rural Territory of Rēzekne Municipality – an expansion of the existing VEREMS RSEZ SIA mill of Latvijas Finieris. The EUR 100 million investment has resulted in the construction of additional premises to house new production equipment, ensuring the more efficient use of wood resources, higher productivity, and more opportunities for the development of innovative plywood products.

The RTU - Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte History Museum has been enriched with unique exhibits – the RTU Time Book and the RTU History Micro Museum, created by students from the Institute of Architecture and Design.
The RTU Time Book offers a clear and engaging journey through the history of RTU – from 1862 to the present day. Historical events are presented on printed Riga Wood Riga Mel plywood panels, complemented by photographs and documents. Each historical period is marked with its own colour code for easier navigation.

Iekārtu rūpnīca is one of the production units of Latvijas Finieris operating in the field of mechanical engineering and metalworking, providing both technical support for the Group’s birch plywood production equipment and the development and production of non-standard metal products.
