Why We Developed RCISOP Process
It’s a fact that isostatic pressing of dental Zirconia CAD/CAM 98mm blocks improved the density distribution homogeneity. However; due to the large dimension of the blocks and the relatively low pressures application “entirely homogeneous” CAD/CAM blocks has not been produced yet.
Shrinkage factors (SF) are simply the indication of density achieved. Most of the ISO pressed zirconia blocks available in the market has SF 1.2500. It means that they contain 51% volume Solid and 49%volume pores.
MGMlabs Zirconia Blocks have SF 1.230-1.235 that means MGMlabs Zirconia blocks contains only 46% pores.
This reduced pore volume is achieved by adding more zirconia powder.
Indeed Translucency is not only related with the chemical composition and particle size, but in fact it is related with the pore content and sizes.
Lower pore content and sizes result in higher translucency higher strength and endurance.
Thanks to RCISOP process, MGMLabs Zirconia blocks have the smallest Shrinkage Factors 1.235 and pore sizes < 10nm best in the market.
