Aim of Symposium
Incidents such as fire, explosion, chemical substance release, which are faced in the first place chemical industry and lots of other sectors, cause many loss of lives and properties and ecocide. Studies which are done for preventing and keeping under control such as these undesired incidents are discussed under Process Safety Management (PSM) term and the studies under this term
are on the onset in Turkey. Risk analysis, emergency plan preparation, SEVESO process, studies for atmospheres explosive, Functional Safety and Safe Instrument terms which are developed based on like IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 which was brought as a part of OHS law, makes inevitable to become integrated technical and management areas of Process Safety. Aim of this symposium; to discuss the subjects under PSM title for long term, and to contribute to development of applications. Objectives of Symposium
• To discuss current case and near future in Turkey in PSM,
• To get together who are professional on ATEX, fire safety, Occupational Safety, automatisation and process control areas with scientists, manufacturers and service providers, and to contribute to networking,
• To discuss intersection points between applications of chemical substance management with PSM area,
• Create an environment which will be conveyed the developments on consultancy services, software and process control,
• To contribute on international knowledge
