Our principal business is the development and management of the La Brea Industrial Estate & the Port of Brighton in support of the energy, transportation and manufacturing sectors in the region La Brea Industrial Development Company Limited (LABIDCO) was formed in February 1995 to develop the La Brea Industrial Estate for industrial activity. The Company’s principal business is the promotion, deve

lopment, and management of an industrial estate and marine infrastructure facilities in support of energy sector development. The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) has 91.55% shareholding in LABIDCO and the Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (PETROTRIN) holds the remaining 8.45%. The Company offers port and estate facilities for:

* Leased land
* Bioremediation and waste disposal services
* Import/export of petrochemicals, general and project cargo
* Logistics services
* Open and covered storage
* Dock/yard for large-scale fabrication services

Today’s features a recently completed load‑out at the Port of Brighton. The operation included the discharge of 1,423 metric tonnes of pipes, shipped from Kobe, Japan for a client in support of energy sector development.

On Wednesday 4th February, 2026, LABIDCO welcomed representatives from Energy Transfer Latin America Limited: Carls Von Lindeman, Senior Regional Manager; Jim Cook, Director of Construction; and Carmen Ramsay de Johnson, Senior Engineer. The delegation was hosted by LABIDCO’s General Manager, Roger Wiggins.

The meeting featured an overview of LABIDCO’s operations and business offerings, followed by a tour of the La Brea Industrial Estate and the Port of Brighton.

Also joining the delegation were representatives from Lake Asphalt of Trinidad and Tobago, including Chairman Derrick Jaggernauth and Deputy Chairman Chrisen Ruben and Chief Executive Officer (Ag.) Ayanna Thompson.
