Mora Ven Holdings Limited (MVHL) was incorporated in Trinidad and Tobago as a holdings company to hold all the shares in Mora Oil Ventures Limited (MOVL). MOVL became a subsidiary MVHL in October 1997, when MVHL was listed on the second tier of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange in place of MOVL. MOVL itself had been incorporated Trinidad and Tobago on June 21st 1994, for the purpose of acuiri
ng a licence from the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to explore for the produce petroleum from the Mora Block and with the intent of purchasing the Mora A Production Platform from BPTT (formerly Amoco Trinidad Oil Company). At the same time MOVL purchased the Mora production platform and all its ancilary facilities from BPTT (formerly Amoco Trinidad Oil Company). Production from the Mora A platform commenced on January 1st 1995. During the ten years of operations MOVL has established itself as the only publicly owned independent oil and gas company in Trinidad and Tobago producing oil and gas from offshore. There are at least two oil and gas blocks the company is pursuing. In 2005 the group added a floating production facility built in the year 2000. It has been upgraded to working condition for the production of 40,000 barrels of medium to light oil per day, with export electricity capacity to surrounding fields. As well there is a tanker barge with a capacity of 6,000 barrels of oil. In 2010 we started our foray into the alternative energy sector, Solar, Wind and Tidal. In 2011 we have converted the first larger manufacturer to photovoltaic energy adn are developing the Solaris Brand (a 100% subsidy of Mora Ven Holdings) through out the region and Africa.
