An offshore crane is a specialized heavy-lifting machine optimized for marine environments, featuring designs like knuckle boom, stiff boom, and ram luffing configurations.

These systems provide capacities ranging from 5 tons for standard supply duties up to 5,500+ tons for heavy-lift infrastructure projects.

Stationed on oil rigs, production platforms, or drillships, these cranes are responsible for safely handling the heavy loads and complex tasks that keep offshore operations running smoothly. Without reliable cranes, much of the work in offshore oil and gas exploration, drilling, and production would grind to a halt.

They manage vital functions
including:

Loading and offloading daily supplies (fuel, food, water)

Supporting drilling activities(moving pipes and drill bits)

Constructing and maintaining offshore platforms.

Offshore submersible equipment consists of heavy-duty, waterproof machinery designed to operate deep underwater or submerged in harsh marine environments.

Traditional pumps use a long metal shaft to connect a motor on the deck to the pump in the water. This is similar to a long drinking straw. Over time, these shafts can bend or break.

Submersible equipment avoids this by attaching the motor directly to the pump. The entire unit is submerged underwater. The motor is flooded with a special water-glycol mixture or dielectric oil. This balances the pressure so the deep ocean water does not crush the inner parts.

AdON’s EIA department provides a variety of lighting solutions for both hazardous and non hazardous environment, with specialized solutions tailored around explosion proof lighting .

Explosion-proof lighting refers to heavy-duty, heavily sealed fixtures designed for hazardous locations where flammable gases, vapors, liquids, or combustible dusts are present.

These specialized lights are constructed with thick, heat-resistant glass and robust aluminum housings to safely isolate internal electrical sparks, preventing them from igniting the explosive atmosphere outside.

Key Classifications and StandardsLighting for hazardous areas is strictly regulated and classified by safety organizations like the National Electrical Code (NEC) and under international ATEX or IECEx standards.

Class I: Locations with flammable gases or vapors (e.g., oil refineries, paint spray booths).

Class II: Locations with combustible dusts (e.g., grain silos, coal preparation plants).

Class III: Locations containing easily ignitable fibers or flyings (e.g., textile mills).

Divisions/Zones:

Indicate the likelihood of the hazardous material being present during normal operation

(Division 1) or as a result of an accident
(Division 2).Common Applications

these fixtures are indispensable in high-risk industries:

Oil and gas refineries, drilling rigs, and fuel loading racks.

Chemical and petrochemical processing plants.

Wastewater treatment plants and marine offshore platforms.

Mining, milling, and agricultural storage facilities.
