One of the most popular demos at MWC Barcelona 2023 is its 5G applications in machine remote control and Mixed Reality (MR). QCT showcases its robotics to demonstrate remote surveillance in high-risk workplaces, which allows shorter handover time and reduces risks by detecting human activity and alerting control centers of possible dangers in real time.
The three main sectors of QCT’s MR engagement covers MR navigation, MR assembling, and drone surveillance, a project collaboration with HJUAV. An MR headset allows users to operate a virtual drone, incorporating real-time digital information into their physical environment.
Another popular demo that caught the attention of many is the QCT Liquid Cooling Rack. Compared to the air-cooling unit, the liquid-cooling has much lower CPU temperatures (around a 20°C difference). Its fans spin much more slowly and more efficiently, reducing hundreds of watts from the system which therefore, not only saves energy but also lowers the cooling cost. Thus, playing its part in “smart green” development.
