Balloon Popping Challenge!
火箭導控競賽開放報名中!
參賽者需開發 Python 軟體,自主控制配備推力向量控制(TVC)系統的火箭,在模擬環境中戳破散佈於天空中的氣球
競賽平台基於開源火箭模擬器 ActiveRocketPy 開發,由參賽隊伍撰寫 GNC(導引、導航與控制)演算法,在充滿感測器雜訊與風場干擾的模擬環境中,決定火箭何時發射、如何飛行,並多多命中隨機釋放的 100 顆氣球。
競賽報名至八月底截止,在那之前,會有五場線上技術交流會,協助參賽者掌握軟體操作與演算法開發,有興趣的都歡迎來交流!

International Rocket GNC Software Design Competition
Balloon Popping Challenge — Registration Now Open!
Participants are required to develop Python-based software to autonomously control a rocket equipped with a Thrust Vector Control (TVC) system, with the mission of popping balloons scattered across the sky in a simulated environment.
The competition platform is built on ActiveRocketPy, an open-source rocket simulator. Teams will develop their own GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) algorithms to determine when the rocket should launch, how it should fly, and how to successfully hit as many of the 100 randomly released balloons as possible within a simulation environment filled with sensor noise and wind disturbances.
Registration is open until the end of August. Before then, five online technical workshops will be held to help participants become familiar with the software platform and algorithm development process. Anyone interested is welcome to join and exchange ideas!
