🏫 Learn with senior high school students👨‍🔬👩‍🔬

In Taiwan, seldom high school students have the opportunity to know how genetic engineering was worked in lab. So we would like to introduce what tools and concepts we use to finish a synthetic biology project to them.
In this April, we had been to Taoyuan Senior High School and taught their students about the utilization of pipetman and gel electrophoresis. Also, we had shared our team project and experiment design.
This activity was not only a lesson for the students, but also a lesson for iGEMers. We tried our best to illustrate the idea of synthetic biology, and expect more and more young students to be interested in this field! 🤘

在臺灣，大部分的高中生很少有機會接觸到基因工程技術如何在實驗室被運作, 所以我們希望能向他們介紹實驗相關的工具及概念。在今年四月，我們來到了臺灣桃園高中教導同學如何使用微量吸量管與凝膠電泳，並分享我們團隊的計畫及實驗設計。這項活動不只是高中生的學習，也是iGEMer的課題。我們盡力詮釋合成生物學，並希望更多的年輕學生能了解並喜愛這個領域!

🌈 Happy New Semester 🤡

After having lots of experiments in our summer vacation, iGEMers are going to start a new semester with you guys! Many of you may consider this as a new start, however, the begin of the semester reminds us of the coming of Jamboree!!!💥 We are so excited that in this November, we will head to Boston and share our project with people, so please cheer for CGU_Taiwan🎉🎉🎉

經過了充滿實驗的暑假, 我們要和大家一起開學了！開學，對大多數同學來說是美好的新開始，而對我們來說它代表著Jamboree的來臨！
在今年11月，CGU _Taiwan 將會前往波士頓和大家分享我們的計劃成果，所以請大家為我們加油！

◢ ✌️ Meeting new people around the globe ✌️ ◣
We had a great talk with CCU Taiwan IGEM team the day before yesterday!
We shared our project and gave some suggestions to each other. They are going to design some detectors in order to check the risk of tooth decay. The topic is cool, isn’t it!
Besides, all the members of CCU Taiwan are so kind and funny! We can’t wait to meet you guys again~~

◢🐵Meeting new people around the globe　◣
Hello! We met team IGEM Peshawar online few days ago, we shared our project to each other. It is very special to meet different people around the globe! IGEM Peshawar are going to work on metal detection models, and we are going to work on the deinking process, both are projects about the environment and a better world. Wish you guys have a great time and let’s meet at Boston!

◢🌍Meeting new people around the globe🌍◣
We had met the inventor of the light induction system, a member from 2012 TU_Munich. We are using the light induction system to achieve the new criteria for the medal, light induction promoter is one of the most important part of our design, this convenient, cheap, eco-friendly induction method was put into our system for improving the specificity of deinking process. Thanks to the great advices from Jeff! We are looking further for more collaboration with team TU_Munich!

◄ 🐟Marketing and Human Practice ►
Here comes the Marketing and Human Practice group, they are the people who pushes our project to the public and industry. Lab works are truly important, but without contacting the society or the user, our invention would be always a dream. As a team of undergraduates, we are responsible to the public. We need to tell others what are we doing, and how are we trying to make a better world. This is when the Human practice part comes up, through popular science spirit, we tell others about science in the words they can understand. We care about the science, but most important of all, we care about the relationship between science and human.

行銷及推廣組在團隊中扮演社會科學的推動者腳色。除了實驗室中的開發與問題解決之外，與人群以及產品使用者接觸是非常重要的。透過行銷與推廣，我們可以獲得在產業上使用者的第一線反饋，也能了解民眾在相關領域中的想法與意見。除了行銷的部分之外，我們是台灣的大學生，我們獲得各方的協助才能向夢想前進，秉持著取之社會用之社會的精神，我們有責任將我們逤學推廣至大眾之中。科學普及便是將科學以人群聽得懂的語言傳授知識給大眾，降低科學上的門檻。我們在意科學，但更重要的是，我們更在意科學與人群之間的關係。

The team leaders are the administrative center of the team, they are who keep contact with the team members, the school, instructor and the companies. Money and sponsor is always important for all iGEM teams, all experiments, model, software, airplane tickets, registration needs money. The team leaders are whom try to earn money and sponsor. Thanks to everyone who helps the team, and thanks to department and the school! Let’ all ROCK at Boston as an iGEMer!

!!!MEET THE GIANT PIPETMAN!!!
├　🍅 2017 iGEM Taiwan conference 　┤
It was 2017 iGEM Taiwan conference last week, 8 teams from different places of Taiwan met at Chang Gung University. We had a great time meeting each other, and share our projects to others. The special talk about glyco science and synthetic biology from Academician Dr. Wong Chi-Huey, he was whom earned the Wolf prize in Chemistry in 2014, gives as lots of inspiration and encouragements. Through all of the activities and sharing, all teams are able to build up close relationship and can go for further collaboration.

Thanks to IGEM NTHU Taiwan, the activities were great. Thanks to all the professors and 2015, 2016 iGEM seniors who came and gave all of us those superb advises!

We are looking forward to meet all you guys at the Asia conference!
