👀 有些電纜裡的導體繞得很整齊,
有些看起來卻像「一束裡還有一束」?
這不是亂繞,而是電纜的絞合方式不同。
👉 所謂的「單絞」與「複合絞」,
指的是導體是怎麼被分組、再繞在一起的;
而「絞距」,則是描述這些導體繞得多密、多鬆。
那實際差別在哪?
🔹 單絞電纜
所有導體直接一起絞合,
結構簡單、成本較低,
常見於電源線或一般控制線。
🔹 複合絞電纜
先把導體分成小束,再進行二次絞合,
結構較複雜,
更有利於抗電磁干擾與柔軟度表現,
常見於通訊線或多訊號控制線。
🔹 絞距的長短
絞得越密,結構越緊,抗干擾能力通常較好;
絞得越鬆,電纜彎折起來會更柔順。
👉 簡單記住一個概念:
怎麼分組,決定結構;
繞得多密,決定表現。
這就是單絞、複合絞與絞距的差別。

🔍 What are Single Twist, Composite Twist, and Lay Length?
👀 Have you ever noticed that some cable conductors are twisted very neatly, while others look like “bundles within bundles”?
This is not random. It reflects different cable stranding methods.
👉 Single twist and composite twist describe how conductors are grouped and twisted together,
while lay length refers to how tight or loose the twisting is.
So, what’s the difference in practice?
🔹 Single-Twist Cable
All conductors are twisted together in one step.
Simple structure, lower cost.
Commonly used in power cables and general control cables.
🔹 Composite-Twist Cable
Conductors are first grouped into smaller bundles, then twisted again.
More complex structure, better performance in EMI resistance and flexibility. Often used in communication cables or multi-signal control cables.
🔹 Lay Length
A shorter lay length means tighter twisting and generally better interference resistance. A longer lay length offers greater flexibility and easier bending.
👉 A simple way to remember:
How you group the conductors defines the structure;
how tightly you twist them defines the performance.
