🌍💻 Вітаємо з Міжнародним днем дівчат в ІКТ!

Щороку, починаючи з 8 квітня 2011 р., з ініціативи ITU у четвертий четвер квітня відзначається International Girls in ICT Day . Цю подію було започатковано відповідно до Резолюції 70 на Повноважній конференції ITU у 2010 році з метою заохочення дівчат і молодих жінок обирати професії у сфері інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій та підкреслення ролі ІКТ в їхній освіті та соціально-економічному розвитку.

📅 У 2026 році цей день відзначається 23 квітня під гаслом:
“AI for Development: Girls shaping the digital future” – «Штучний інтелект для розвитку: дівчата формують цифрове майбутнє». 🤩

✨ Від імені Kharkiv Information & Communication Technologies ACM-W Chapter щиро вітаємо всіх дівчат, які вже сьогодні змінюють світ технологій, та тих, хто лише починає свій шлях у сфері ІКТ!

“Anything we do to empower women, no matter how small or big, is important.”

This powerful quote emerged during an inspiring conversation between Dr. Asegul "Ace" Hulus and the leaders of the ACM-W Kiel Chapter, Dr. Pamela Fleischmann and Annika Huch.

Together, they explored what local action, inclusive dialogue, and persistent advocacy look like within academic spaces. From launching the Women’s Talk Marathon to fostering open discussion at Café events, the Kiel Chapter is paving the way for meaningful, grassroots change in computing.

☑️ Проведено комплексне опитування понад 500 учасників щодо факторів, які сприяють або перешкоджають студентам здобувати ступінь доктора філософії з комп'ютерних наук, а також щодо того, як ці фактори відрізняються залежно від статі.
☑️ Визначено характерні риси уявлень студентів про кар'єру та їхні інформаційні потреби щодо навчання в аспірантурі.
☑️ Запропоновано перелік питань, спрямованих на стимулювання конструктивної дискусії щодо можливості здобуття ступеня доктора філософії.
☑️ Розроблено програму, спрямовану на допомогу студенткам у прийнятті більш обґрунтованих рішень щодо навчання в аспірантурі.

За результатами проєкту CA19122 – European Network For Gender Balance in Informatics (EUGAIN) (https://eugain.eu/) у видавництві Springer надруковано книгу «Actions for Gender Balance in Informatics Across Europe» (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-78432-3).
🎯 Основна мета книги – слугувати посібником, що трансформує дослідження у найкращі практики для просування гендерної інклюзії в інформатиці.
📖 Видання підсумовує п’ятирічні дослідження з різних країн Європи та пропонує практичні стратегії для подолання гендерного розриву в ІТ.
📝 У книзі зібрані рекомендації щодо залучення, підтримки та кар’єрного розвитку жінок у науці й індустрії, а також приклади співпраці між університетами та бізнесом.
🔎➡️✅Автори не лише аналізують причини низької участі жінок у науці та «витоку кадрів» у сфері ІТ, а й пропонують конкретні дії для покращення навчального та робочого середовища.
