🌎 Christmas Traditions in Latin America.

🇵🇪 Peru is located in the Southern hemisphere. Therefore, Christmas takes place in the summer season. The first Christmas celebration was observed in Peru in 1535.

The Christmas festivities are called /Сhocolatades/ in Peru, at this festival, people meet each other, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy Italian Christmas cakes.

In Peru, the main Christmas celebrations start on Christmas Eve. They called Christmas Eve, /Noche Buena/ - it means good night. People visited special church services from 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

🇵🇪 Перу знаходиться в південній півкулі. Тому Різдво відбувається в літній сезон. Перше святкування Різдва відбулося в Перу в 1535 році.

Різдвяні гуляння в Перу називаються/Соколатади/, на цьому фестивалі люди зустрічаються один з одним, п'ють гарячий шоколад і насолоджуються італійськими різдвяними тортами.

У Перу основні різдвяні святкування починаються в переддень Різдва. Вони називали Святвечір, /Ноче Буена/ - це означає добраніч. Люди відвідували спеціальні церковні служби з 10 вечора напередодні Різдва.

📄 What Is the Most Translated Document in the World?

📌 As per the Guinness Book of World Records, the most translated document is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This document was published by the United Nations back in 1948. Since then, it has been translated into 500 languages.

Initially, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights held the record in 2009 when it was translated into 370 languages.

1️⃣ Kallawaya language is one of the hidden languages of the world. People from the Kallawaya tribe in Bolivia speak this language. The Kallawaya tribe resides in six villages in the region of Bolivia’s Apolobamba. This language is becoming extinct and only less than 100 people speak this language in the world.

2️⃣ Lunfardo - is a language that denotes Italian Lombardo, it denotes the habitants of Sicily. This language came into existence in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Lunfardo has taken many loan words from Spanish and Italian. This language gained popularity in Europe through the spread of tango music which was considered very violent.

3️⃣ Carnie language is used informally in North America by carnival employees that are traveling. Moreover, they used this language, when employees operated the game in carnivals. In addition to it, professional wrestlers use carnie to communicate with each other even if they are in front of an audience.

1️⃣ Мова каллавая є однією з прихованих мов світу. Люди з племені каллавая в Болівії розмовляють цією мовою. Плем'я каллавая проживає в шести селах в регіоні Аполобамба в Болівії. Ця мова вимирає, і лише менше 100 людей розмовляють цією мовою у світі.

1) Maintain confidentiality.
🔒 A translator often receives personal data: identity cards, private documents, such as medical records.
The translator may not be bound by a confidentiality agreement, but it is unethical to publish this information in the public domain, in the same portfolio.

2) Being a neutral figure.
⚖️ The task of the translator is to convey the essence of the original message through the means of the target language.
Emotionality is not encouraged during interpretation, nor should you copy the speaker's mannerisms - this only exacerbates the situation.

3) Maintain good relationships.
🤝 The professional community is a source of support, mutual assistance and valuable experience.

❓ Which differences between machine translation vs. human translation?

⚙️ Machine translation is popular because it is very cheap, if not free in most cases. Another advantage is its speed: a text of considerable length can be translated into a large number of language combinations in a matter of seconds.
However, automatic translation has more than just advantages, quite the contrary... It is for the most part a word-for-word translation that does not take into account the cultural context and specifics of the target audience.

👱‍♂️ Human translation has the advantage of being performed by a native speaker translator who translates into his or her native language and is fluent in the source language.
In addition, the human translator has unique skills that a computer cannot demonstrate (creativity, sensitivity, interpretation, etc.). This allows him to take into account the context of the translation. On the other hand, he is generally very familiar with the local culture of the country for which the translation is intended.
