Used zeolite is not waste. It is a resource that needs 4–5 hours and a BRZ unit.
A week ago, we talked about the CMM-260C, which continuously dries transformer oil directly inside the transformer. The logical question is: what should be done with sorbent cartridges once they become saturated with moisture?
That is exactly what the BRZ is for.
The BRZ unit restores zeolite after it has completed its task. It is suitable not only for CMM-260C cartridges, but also for any compatible adsorber system.
5 liters of water are poured into the sorbent cartridge to prevent the zeolite from igniting. Then cold air blows through the cartridge for 30 minutes, washing water and oil into the separator. After that, the heater gradually raises the temperature to 150 °C and then to 250–300 °C for complete moisture removal and restoration of adsorption properties. Finally, the vacuum pump removes the remaining v***r. After complete cooling (approximately 12 hours), the zeolite cartridge is ready for operation again.
💨 Capacity: 144 m³/h
⚡ Power: 16.5 kW
⏱️ Regeneration cycle: 4–5 hours + cooling time
There is no need to buy new zeolite after every cycle. Closed loop: the CMM-260C dries the oil, while the BRZ restores the sorbent.
