During our 25th anniversary launch, amidst an audience of esteemed leaders, stakeholders, and visionaries in Uganda’s healthcare sector, our founder shared an inspiring story. A journey of resilience, innovation, and commitment that has shaped Rene Industries into what it is today.

“When we began this journey in 1998, it was driven by a simple yet profound question: How can we make life-saving medicines more accessible and affordable for Ugandans?”

For over two decades, our founder, alongside his wife and co-founder, Dr. Meera Vadodaria, transformed this vision into reality. From humble beginnings, they built Rene Industries into a pillar of Uganda’s pharmaceutical sector.

Milestones Worth Celebrating:

- Employing over 800 Ugandans.
- Supplying medicines across Uganda and neighboring countries, including Rwanda, South Sudan, and DRC.
- Expanding into Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and beyond.
- Breaking ground on a new pharmaceutical plant in Burundi, set to open in 2025.

Celebrating 25 Years of Transforming Healthcare in East Africa.
On November 19th, Rene Industries proudly celebrated 25 years of making a difference in healthcare across East Africa. What started as a small pharmacy has grown into a regional manufacturing leader, producing over 120 products and serving over eight countries: Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and the DRC. With Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia in the pipeline.

As one of Uganda's largest supplier of medicines to the National Medical Stores (NMS), we've set a high standard for quality and innovation.
We're incredibly proud of empowering over 800 employees, many of whom are women who help drive the daily healthcare advancements that improve lives.

At our celebration at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, the Honourable Dr Ruth Aceng spoke about the importance of building a self-reliant pharmaceutical industry and Dr. Medard Bitekyerezo, Chairman of the NDA, also echoed our shared vision for local manufacturing and capacity building in the sector.
Thank you to our founders, employees, partners, and stakeholders who have been part of this incredible journey. Together, we're shaping the future of healthcare in East Africa and can't wait to see what the next 25 years will bring.
