The first week of March 2025 brought severe weather into Northeast, and Copper and Cable Electric Co. was honored for the opportunity to assist both BGE and Eversource in their restoration efforts. From Maryland to New Hampshire, Copper and Cable relishes the opportunity to restore the power that is vital to the American way of life. We are proud of the work that our almost 200 FTEs accomplished this week!

In recent days, we have faced significant challenges along the East Coast—impacting not only our team but also countless customers and businesses. Outages have affected regions stretching from Alabama and Georgia, traversing through Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, all the way through the Northeast, including New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

The demand for manpower was immense, and the timeline was tight. Nevertheless, through careful planning and countless hours dedicated to process improvement, we successfully supported Eversource and the state of Connecticut by mobilizing nearly 100 of our dedicated full-time employees (FTEs), and by Sunday Evening we expanded our efforts, by mobilizing 260 FTEs to assist BGE and Maryland.

Our mission is far from over. We are committed to working tirelessly to safely and efficiently restore power to Maryland residents, having already reduced the number of customers without service from an estimated 130,000 to approximately 8,000 in just two days.
