Finally got the 2nd gocart pretty much done. I have to adjust the engine to tighten the torque converter belt after test driving it today.

Great nephew rode with me , me riding the Blackstone and him riding the 1st one we fixed up. And the throttle cable broke on him. So I will have to make a fix for that.

Just put the torque converter on, which they sent me wrong one. So I had to pull jack shaft and re-machine 1 side of it to make it work. And starting to put thr roll cage back on. Next i have to make the seat cushions and it'll be done.

Got quite a bit done yesterday and thr start of today.

Got steering and steering linkage on, linkage for throttle and brakes on, fabricated pads for the foot pedals and now running electrical for the kill switch (which i moved to a more convenient location).

Been forgetting to post as I make progress on this gocart. I got in 98% of parts for it Tuesday. And spent the day today blasting and painting small parts, as well as hand sanding larger parts to be prepared for painting. Here in picture is the torque converter and the last picture is part of the roll cage.

Machining a new jack shaft for a torque converter out of 3/4", 316 stainless. Threaded the ends for a 5/8-11 thread nut, and now working on the two 3/16" keyways. Will wait to get bearings to do the final Machining to match the ID of the bearings.
