Three and a half years ago, we had the opportunity to assume full responsibility for the HVAC/R and building automation/controls services at a well-respected regional hospital in west Texas. They were especially interested in our “Full Coverage” Preventative Maintenance Agreement — which allows customers to benefit from a proactive approach to maintenance while better controlling costs across all their mechanical systems.
Right from the start, one of our top priorities was partnering with them to strategically plan for the replacement of aging assets that had reached or exceeded their end of life. High on that list were the four (4) 25+ year old Carrier 30GUN air-cooled semi-hermetic chillers.
That’s where this project was born. Years of planning and preparation later, the hospital is now moving forward with major facility upgrades — starting with two of the chillers.
We replaced them with two new Carrier AquaSnap 30RC air-cooled scroll chillers. These units deliver significantly better energy efficiency while maintaining the rugged durability this hospital demands. The entire project was delivered turnkey, and we kept the hospital fully operational with zero downtime throughout the process.
