Tomorrow is the robotics competition! If you have a team that wants to participate but hasn't registered yet, please send me the info to my website at https://abilenerobot.wixsite.com/linefollowing or send an email to [email protected] if you have any difficulty. This will help to organize the teams among the groups and print the participation certificates ahead of time. If you don't register, you are still welcome and we will sign you in at the door. Again, doors will open at noon and the races will begin at 1:00 in the Bennett Engineering Lab at ACU. We look forward to seeing you there.

Only one week until the robotics competition. Thank you to all of those who have registered already. I am extending the registration through Monday for any last minute additions. It has come to my attention that sometimes there have been issues and the site had locked up. Please message me directly and I'll send you the rules and details personally. I will also be posting updates on this page.

I am also still soliciting for volunteers. Please let me know if anyone is interested. We are looking forward to everyone that can attend as a participant, volunteer or even just a spectator. Again, doors will open at noon on Saturday, November 10th and the races will begin at 1:00 in the Bennett Engineering Lab at ACU.

Simple practice hint - the track line is 3/4" wide which just happens to be the exact width of electrical tape.

Only a few weeks until the races! I want to send out a special thank you to ACU Maker Lab for their help creating a few of our tracks for the upcoming competition. We couldn't do this without them.

Only a month until the races! We already have a few teams registered. Looking forward to seeing returning and new competitors.
I am currently deployed and am running this from the other side of the planet. I'd like to give a special thank you to all those who have been helping behind the scenes. If there are any out there that would also like to help, I would appreciate the help. We still need a few volunteers to help with judging, setup and tear down, record keeping and participation certificate printing.

Welcome back to another robotics season. Our next competition this fall will be on November 10th. As always, it is open to everyone and will be free.

I am currently creating a website that has all the details and rules as well as where you can register.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered or attended the Third Annual Line-Following Robotics Competition. We had 18 robots and over 50 competitors. Please send me any pictures you would like me to upload here to my email at [email protected].

We will be holding a different competition later this spring. Please send me possible dates and I will try to accommodate. More details will be sent out in a few weeks. Next year's line-following races will include advanced tracks in addition to the basic ones for those who are up to the challenge.

Please let me know if there is anything else you would like to see or any improvements we can make.
