Support human resources department by preparing payroll, orienting new employees and administering benefit programs for all Land View companies.
Accurately process bi-weekly payroll by calculating pay; distributing checks; maintaining payroll records in the HRIS system.
Enter, maintain and/or process information in the payroll system; information may include, employees hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholdings , address changes, and other information.
Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and others.
Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
Administer disability insurance programs by advising employees of eligibility; providing application information; helping with form completion; verifying submission; notifying employees of approvals.
Monitor unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation.
Maintain human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases, tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
Orient new employees though HRIS system or by providing orientation information packets; reviewing company policies; gathering withholding and other payroll information; explaining and enrolling employees in benefit programs.
Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion.
Document human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
Help administer and coordinate communications with employees regarding benefit plans including health, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k) Plan and other ancillary benefits. Inform employees of their benefit options and plan and monitor use, manage enrollment and keep updated records with all relevant information (marital status, years of services, hour worked, etc.)
Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Review billings for accuracy. Also maintain self funded health benefits checking account including monthly reconciliation.
Manage annual open enrollment period during 4th quarter of each year. Arrange for distribution of plan summary materials and required notices, assist with communicating changes to employees and arrange for onsite representation. Process changes within deadlines.
Coordinate and assist with ACA and ERISA benefits reporting requirements. Complete yearly EEO reports, workers' compensation plan reports including Washington L & I and US Labor Reports as required.
Assist in distribution of new employee policies.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
