When you send out a Request for Quote (RFQ), what information do you include?
For many manufacturers, it's the print, the material, and the quantity.
But that's only part of the story.
A great RFQ gives your supplier the context they need to provide the best solution, not just a price.
During a recent discussion, Frank Ross shared a perspective that really stood out:
"We just want to understand... what is it they need? What's their expectation? What's their time frame? If you could share your price goals, we can work to make sure we hit those goals."
The more your supplier understands about your application, the better they can:
- Recommend the right process.
- Identify potential issues early.
- Provide a more accurate quote.
- Help keep your project on schedule.
A successful RFQ isn't just about getting a number back—it's about starting a conversation that leads to better results.
