Over the past couple weeks the team has presented at several different events about our team and the importance of STEM and robotics.
M'Aiken Magic attended the Aiken Intermediate School Open House to talk about robotics and promote STEM. We showed off one of our robots to over 250 rising 6th graders and family in attendance.
We gave a presentation to five middle schoolers and four adults at the Schofield Middle School Ham Radio and Technology Club. We showed what it takes to build a robot, some of the challenges the team faced this past year, what a finished robot looks like, how the wiring on the robot works, and let them practice programming with a LEGO Spike robot.
Gave a demonstration of one of our robots to over 2,200 people at the Williston DIG STEM Festival. This involved showing people how to drive the robot and talking about our team and FIRST Robotics.
We'd now like to take a minute to thank our sponsors, without their support we would not be able to do what we have been able to this year. Thank you to SRNS, Aiken County Public Schools, Crane, Savannah River National Laboratory, Merrick, Shaw, and HAAS.
