✨ Project Spotlight: Monroe County Community College Health Sciences Simulation Center ✨

Our team was engaged by The Collaborative to serve as a health education design consultant on the Monroe County Community College Health Education Building Renovation & Addition. Hasenstab Architects designed the 12,800 SF Health Sciences Simulation Center that features high-fidelity simulated patient rooms with dedicated control rooms and support space.

Our team had a great time last week celebrating an awesome year with the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Akron-Canton at its Year-End Banquet. One of the highlights of the evening was seeing one of Associate Ben Rantilla’s student mentees from Garfield CLC, where Ben serves as lead mentor, earn a scholarship.

It was rewarding to see all the students' hard work honored. Congratulations to everyone on another successful year!

Yesterday, our team hosted an AIA Akron Hard Hat Tour of the new County of Summit ADM Board Dr. Fred Frese Residential Center. During the tour, the design team showcased how they created a space that will support safety, dignity, and autonomy for residents as they move beyond inpatient care.

Things are coming along nicely at the new Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Administrative Headquarters! Yesterday, the HA Emerging Professionals Group hit the road for a tour of the project. We love to see the design taking shape and can't wait to see the finished product later this year.

Wooster Community Hospital Emergency Center

The 44,800 sf Emergency Center not only expands emergency care capacity but also improves patient access by creating a new front door to Wooster Community Hospital campus with vital services located just inside the new entrance.

Hasenstab Architects partnered with The Ruhlin Company for this design-build project.

✨A little something to brighten your day✨

A story 20 years in the making started when Hasenstab’s own Brian Miner signed up to be a bone marrow and blood stem cell donor. He had been contacted a few times over the last two decades, but was never a perfect match. That all changed when he received a call last September. After several rounds of medical testing, Brian learned he was the best match for someone in need.

In February, Brian traveled to Washington, D.C. and donated 432 ml of peripheral blood stem cell product - a record according to the nurses. The stem cells were then flown to Germany and given to the recipient the very next day, hopefully changing his life forever.
