Say c̶h̶e̶e̶s̶e̶ "TREES!" 📸

Along one stretch of highway in Oregon, there’s always a way to be sure fall has arrived: A giant smiley face emerges from the forest.

Back in 2011, a lumber company decided to make a statement by planting larch trees on an Oregon slope. Now every fall, a yellow smiley face appears in a sea of green made up of Douglas fir, western hemlock, noble fir, and western red cedar.

We couldn’t agree more. Incorporating TreePans for moisture retention would also increase survivability.

Especially when trees are newly planted, they need all the help they can get.
