At our recent Safety Lunch, the FSG team had two important milestones to celebrate.

First, we wished a very happy birthday to our Founder, Rocky Frazier! Thank you, Rocky, for the vision that built FSG and continues to guide us every day.

We also celebrated Derek Hicks in our Engineering Department on his 25th work anniversary with FSG. For a quarter-century, Derek has brought engineering excellence, steady commitment, and real dedication to his work. His contributions have helped build the foundation FSG stands on today, and we were proud to honor his years of service. Congratulations, Derek, and thank you for 25 incredible years and more to come!

What does a custom solution look like? Every production line has its own demands, and the equipment that supports it should be built to match. FSG designed and fabricated this stainless steel portioning table around one customer’s specific packing process.

Here’s how it works. Product sits in the center of the table, while packages are held in a ring of stations around the edge. Operators portion product into each package as the table rotates, and bags are closed as they reach the top. The result is a continuous, organized workflow that cuts handling time and keeps every package consistent.

But the true value of any piece of equipment lies in its efficiency and longevity. Our Quality System minimizes material waste and optimizes production flow, delivering cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Across the country, on the first Friday of October we celebrate Manufacturing Day and the people, innovation, and opportunities that make manufacturing such an important part of our communities. MFG Day is all about showing future workers, parents, and anyone who loves making things what modern manufacturing really looks like.

FSG is committed year-round to investing in workforce development and hands-on training to build the next generation of skilled professionals. We do that through student tours, job shadowing, work-based learning programs, internships, and our machining apprenticeship.

We're so grateful to our team for taking the time to talk with every group of students who walks through our shop. The best compliments we receive come from students who got interested in what we do, put in the effort to gain hands-on experience in our shop, and want to apply to join our team once they finish their training.

September is Workforce Development Month, and we’ve partnered with Marshall County Schools and Albertville City Schools to highlight the many career opportunities within manufacturing. We welcomed juniors and seniors from Douglas High School and Albertville Innovation Academy to tour our plant and learn the role each department plays in our custom fabrication and millwright services.

Students had the opportunity to try their hand at several skills and talk with the operators in each department, helping them find the path that best fits their skills and interests.

FSG actively invests in our local community, with a special focus on workforce development and hands-on training programs that build the next generation of skilled professionals.

Thank you to the students, teachers, and our team members who made these visits a success. The future of manufacturing is bright!

Our logistics team times transport to each project timeline for Just-In-Time delivery, minimizing downtime and on-site storage headaches. Then FSG’s service teams integrate new systems into active facilities without disrupting operations, calibrating every install until it’s online.

FSG is excited to continue growing our Sales Team to better serve our customers across the country. Javier Jimenez and Phil McCullar each bring 30 years of experience to the table.

Javier has deep roots in the protein and food processing industry, spanning quality assurance, project management, wastewater treatment, rendering, and capital equipment sales across Latin America, and Phil has a strong background in industrial sales across power transmission, conveyor systems, hydraulics, and material handling throughout the Southeast.

Their combined backgrounds add even more depth to the diversified experience and expertise already found across the FSG Sales Team, further strengthening our ability to meet the needs of our broad customer base.
