This page remains as a tribute to a legacy that helped shape roofing in New Mexico.
For over 40 years, Tom Crego was one of the true cornerstones of the roofing community in Albuquerque and across New Mexico. To many, he was more than a contractor โ he was a standard-setter, a mentor, and one of the early godfathers of roofing in this state.
Tom proudly served with the 173rd Airborne as an airborne medic, and that sense of discipline, responsibility, and service stayed with him for life. He carried those values into everything he did โ in business, in the community, and in how he treated the craft of roofing itself.
Outside of roofing, Tom was deeply rooted in the Albuquerque boxing community, a world he loved for its grit, respect, and commitment to earning your place. Those same principles showed up in his work: show up prepared, do it right, and stand behind what you build.
Tom was unwavering in his dedication to quality, and his integrity was impeccable. The reputation CREGO built over decades was not accidental โ it was earned job by job, detail by detail, through pride in the work and accountability to customers and peers alike.
This page will remain open as a living archive to honor Tom, his contributions, and the legacy he built. No one here is trying to rewrite or reshape his story. Our intention is simple: to preserve it, respect it, and continue building in a way that would make him proud.
As CREGO moves forward into its next chapter, all current projects, updates, and growth will be shared on our new official page tagged on here.
