May’s Solar Word of the Month is Abíní and Talöngva, both translating to “Morning.” ☀️

Morning is a time when all good things begin to rise with the sun, bringing light, warmth, hope, and a fresh start to the day ahead. Across our communities, the morning sun reminds us of renewal, strength, and the power that each new day carries.

Just as the sun rises each morning to light the earth, solar energy helps power homes, support families, and create brighter futures for generations to come. Every sunrise is a reminder that even something as simple and natural as sunlight can bring lasting change.

Meet some of the team behind the installs. ☀️

From our techs to our installers, these are the hardworking people helping bring reliable power to families across the Navajo & Hopi Nation, one home at a time. While not everyone is pictured here, every member of our crew plays an important role in making each project possible. We’re proud of the team behind the mission. ⚡️🙏🏼

We are honored to be featured in the Navajo Times for our role in the recent Protect the Land Skate JamEarth Day at Two Grey Hills Skate Park.

At Navajo Power and Navajo Power Home, we believe in supporting the next generation through more than just clean energy. Partnering with 4KINSHIP and the Diné Skate Garden Project allows us to invest in community spaces that foster movement, creativity, and land stewardship.

Check out the full story on how skate lessons and seed planting brought the community together this Earth Day: https://navajotimes.com/ae/community/two-grey-hills-park-hosts-skate-jam-seed-planting-on-earth-day/

Special thank you to Amy Denet Deal for making this all possible!

More than 100 young people and their families turned out at the Two Grey Hills Skate Park last week for the Protect the Land Skate Jam, an Earth Day gathering that paired skateboarding lessons with native seed planting, art-making and a park clean-up.
