🔎 In case you missed it: Our recent blog post explores what's happening behind the scenes before HALO Breast IHC AI generates a biomarker score.

The post details the comprehensive preprocessing pipeline built into the new release. Before HER2, ER, PR, or Ki67 analysis begins, the workflow sequentially identifies and excludes tissue components such as DCIS, LCIS, control tissue, necrosis, and other non-invasive regions, focusing subsequent quantification on the relevant invasive tumor area.

The blog also dives into the individual scoring capabilities available after preprocessing, from automated HER2 classifications to ER/PR Allred scoring and continuous Ki67 quantification, and how these features fit into a broader automated workflow while keeping the pathologist in control of final interpretation.
