We are excited to announce the new version of our HALO AP enterprise digital pathology platform, featuring advanced capabilities that enhance automation, collaboration, and scalability.

At the center of the update is Lab Logic, a workflow design toolkit that enables laboratories to tailor HALO AP to their workflows through automatic actions, multi-step flows, smart case and slide lists, and expanded configuration options. Lab Logic allows laboratories to automate complex workflows using AI-driven triggers, routing rules, and post-analysis automation.

"Clinical laboratories need digital pathology systems that can adapt to the way their teams actually work," said Hallie Rane, Product Manager of Clinical Applications. "By combining intelligent automation, streamlined collaboration, and stronger traceability, this release helps organizations reduce manual effort while supporting more consistent, coordinated case review.”

Pathology has moved beyond just digital slide viewing, toward systems that actively guide how cases are handled from the moment they enter the workflow.

With HALO AP and HALO AP Dx version 2.5, we’re introducing Lab Logic, a configurable workflow orchestration layer that allows laboratories to define how cases are triaged, routed, and prepared before review. In our latest blog, we take a closer look at how Lab Logic supports workflow design and enables automation for case triage, workflow routing, and report prefill.

For HALO AP users, capabilities such as Automatic Actions and Post-Analysis Automation further extend this functionality, helping labs further streamline operations and adapt workflows to their specific needs.

The future of pathology is not just about viewing digital slides; it’s about pathology software understanding what to do with each case before a pathologist even clicks “Open.”

In version 2.5 of HALO AP and HALO AP Dx, we’re introducing Lab Logic, the user-defined workflow and orchestration system that enables any lab, regardless of case volume, to operate like an automated triage engine.

In our latest blog post, we explore Lab Logic’s tools for workflow design prior to clinical lock, as well as automation for case triage, workflow routing, and report prefill. For users of HALO AP, this layer is expanded even further with Automatic Actions and Post-Analysis Automation, enabling dynamic case lists and automated case triage.
