No shovels here. ✨ Our team marked the groundbreaking of the ABQ BioPark's new "Dreamlands" with bursts of rainbow color — a preview of the rainbow pathway Meow Wolf designed for the space. Not your average groundbreaking, for not your average project. Kids will soon step into a whole new world to play, learn, and imagine.

A historic building. A new chapter. And more opportunities for New Mexicans. 🎬🏗️

Franken Construction celebrated the grand opening of CNM’s new Film and Media Arts Facility at the historic Albuquerque Rail Yards.

Located inside the 1922 Boiler Shop, this project gives new life to a building that helped shape Albuquerque’s past while creating a space designed to help shape its future. Students will now have access to hands-on education and training in film, visual media, post-production, and other careers supporting New Mexico’s growing creative economy.

Projects like this are only possible through strong partnerships.
We’re grateful to CNM Central New Mexico Community College, the City of Albuquerque, the State of New Mexico, and SMPC Architects industry partners, trade partners, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. It was an honor to work alongside such a committed team, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to contribute to a project that will have a lasting impact on our community.

Building more than facilities. Building opportunities for New Mexico.

Franken Construction is proud to celebrate the grand opening of the RioTECH Transportation Systems Technology Center in Rio Rancho, a 43,800-square-foot facility that will provide CNM and Rio Rancho Public Schools students with hands-on training in automotive, electric vehicle, and diesel technologies.

As a New Mexico company, we are proud to partner on projects that invest in our communities, support education and workforce development, and help prepare the next generation of skilled professionals for careers right here in our state.

The Lobo Welcome Center is one of UNM’s most historically significant buildings.

The former Naval ROTC building is a 1941 Spanish-Pueblo Revival and the only adobe structure on campus. Our work required honoring that history while integrating the modern spaces and technology a 21st-century welcome center requires.

It was a pleasure working alongside the McClain + Yu team to help bring their vision for this historic space to life.
