Family owned and operated since the late 1940s, the company incorporated in the State of New Mexico in 1965 as Richardson & Richardson Inc. "Hap" Richardson, II has been leading the family business since 1984. Allan K. Richardson started in the construction business in the late 1940’s, building single family homes in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He embarked on this venture as a way to provide more servic

es with his real estate brokerage. The business soon expanded and, in association with Tom Heflin of Artesia, New Mexico, the Company built numerous commercial as well as institutional projects throughout southern New Mexico during the 1960’s. The most notable of these jobs was Park Junior High School, built during the height of the Cold War. Park is the World’s largest underground school! In 1965, the Company incorporated in the State of New Mexico as Richardson & Richardson, Inc. Richardson’s son, Allan K. "Hap" Richardson, II, grew up in the family business — his first job was moving dirt from foundations at the "Quicky" convenience store in Carlsbad. He was 12 years old and earned an outstanding pay rate of 12.5 cents per hour ($1 per day!!!). From this early beginning, Hap’s interest in the industry grew and in 1973 he graduated With Honors from New Mexico State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Since joining the firm after college, he has been involved in all aspects of the business from the ground up. He is active in industry associations and is a past president of the New Mexico Building Branch, Associated General Contractors of America. He is active in many charitable endeavors and has also held offices in alumni and masonic groups. Hap was also recently awarded "Outstanding Contributor" at the Jack Miller Network Meeting (now Construction Leadership Network). Hap’s wife, Kaye, is the company’s controller. His daughter Kathleen also works for the company, putting Richardson & Richardson in the "3rd Generation Family-Run Small Business" category.

The Ranches promotes opportunity and meaningful help for struggling children and their families.

Hi everyone! In conjunction with the Pete Leyva Memorial Golf Tournament, we are also holding an online auction to raise money for The Ranches, starting on Thu September 8th, 2022 @ 6:00 AM MDT and ending on Tue September 13th, 2022 @ 9:00 PM MDT.

We had an exciting time last week raising the dome at All Saints of North America Orthodox Church. This beautifully designed building will be a nice addition to Albuquerque's North Valley. Although this was a complex part of the construction, the entire project team showed excellence in their planning and ex*****on. After the dome was in place, the entire team enjoyed lunch at El Pinto next door! Way to go, guys!

We were proud to perform this work at ALT! We hope you'll see a play at the Albuquerque Little Theatre and check it out this holiday season!

is all about our Bathroom Renovation! If you have been to ALT in the last several years, you know that fundraising had been ongoing to renovate our bathrooms! They have been done for a few years now and with the Pandemic, we haven't had the chance to show them off! If you were ever frustrated with having to wait in line for the restroom at intermission, we have absolutely alleviated that! We extended the building and were able to add more stalls to each restroom as well as adding a family restroom downstairs and 2 single bathrooms upstairs! They are beautiful and efficient! Come check out our new Bathrooms! Christmas Carol opens 12/3!
