Happy 250th Birthday, America — from the city where it all began.

Newsham’s Woodshop is proud to have designed and manufactured fifteen custom art display cases for City Hall in Philadelphia. These displays were created for rotating temporary art installations, allowing artwork from Philadelphia citizens and artists to be changed out cleanly and efficiently as new exhibitions are introduced.

This project is especially meaningful to us because it supports public art inside one of Philadelphia’s most iconic buildings during a milestone celebration for the country itself.

A special thank you to Creative Philadelphia, the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts and Culture, for awarding us this project and helping bring these installations to life. We’re proud to support their continued work bringing art, culture, and community expression into public spaces across Philadelphia.

Congratulations to Leaf to Ash Cigar Lounge in Anderson, Ohio on their one-year anniversary.

Owned and operated by, Leaf to Ash has become a standout example of what a thoughtfully designed cigar retail and lounge space can be. Yesterday, they hung the signed Newsham’s installation sign in the lounge, making it official in the best way possible.

This project is especially meaningful to us because Leaf to Ash features some version of nearly every product line we offer, including a walk-in humidor, U-shaped POS humidor display, two vertical H-Series humidors, cigar lockers, slat wall, merchandising shelves and counters, merchandising trays, custom signage, and non-humidor display cases.

From the retail floor to the lounge areas, this space was designed to help Leaf to Ash showcase ci**rs, merchandise, accessories, memberships, and the customer experience all under one roof.

Thank you to Chet and the Leaf to Ash team for trusting Newsham’s Woodshop with such a complete project. We’re proud to have our work on display in a place that has already made such an impact in its first year.

As Mark Twain is often credited with saying, “One who does not read good books has no advantage over one who cannot read them.”

And once you’ve read enough good books, you need somewhere worthy to put them.

This custom three-section wall unit started as an empty wall and was designed, manufactured, finished, and installed by Newsham’s Woodshop to feel like it had always belonged in the room.

From the arched openings and adjustable shelving to the layered crown detail and rich stained finish, every part of this piece was made to complement the existing trim, flooring, and character of the home.

Custom work like this is about more than storage. It’s about turning a blank wall into part of the architecture.

From concept to installation — this custom walk-in humidor project in Miami Beach was designed to blend luxury presentation with true humidor performance.

Featuring Spanish cedar wall panels and racking, handcrafted mahogany gondolas, and dual humidified mahogany locker systems with Spanish cedar false backs and integrated fan bars for proper airflow and humidification distribution so that every cigar in every locker is seasoned and ready to enjoy by every member.

Each detail was designed and built to create an immersive cigar environment, considering both visual impact and long-term performance.
