A June 1 proclamation reduces Section 232 tariffs on certain residential heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment from 25% to 15%. The reduced rate takes effect June 8, 2026, and runs through December 31, 2027. The proclamation also creates a lower 10% rate for foreign-produced equipment that meets a domestic sourcing threshold for steel and aluminum content.
