LaMerk Foundry Explorers Club

LaMerk Foundry Explorers Club The LaMerk Foundry Explorers Club - Spelunking in the Dark and Weird Stuff Hello! And that's how the Foundry has sat to this day.

My name is Frank Tavery and I am the founder of the LaMerk Foundry Explorers Club. LaMerk Foundry, founded in 1923 by Mr Hardy Carrise, quickly grew to be one of the most sought after bespoke automaton and special machinery fabricators in the world. On October 19th, 1956 a large explosion at Foundry tore through the factory floor and killed 23 people and hurt countless others. LaMerk Foundry never

recovered after that and eventually all the remaining scientists were transferred to a new company, LaMerk Industries, the Foundry closed for good. Empty, overgrown and ripe for exploring. There are laboratories, a giant greenhouse and the automaton factory (and so much more!). With a little schmoozing and a little scheming I have been able to make a deal with the city to provide Urban Explorer tours of the Foundry (provided everyone sign wavers and wear hardhats). Looking forward to exploring with you all!

More cameras up today. Someone keeps trying to delete the images from the website - no idea one who or why. Had to up the security a bit, so please excuse the wonky links.

My climbing partner freaked out and won't go down in the mines anymore. screw him, I dont need him i can get through six this door on my own. Now I dont have to split whatever I find down there.

I lost my sales three job at the sporting goods store for missing shifts so now I will have more time to try and get through the door. Any day now I can feel it.

Got the other camera at five foundry wired up and working. They will snap a shot anytime they catch something moving, otherwise its just on a timer. Link on LaMerkFoundry.com.

Heading down two the mine again to six up the cameras down there and to work on the lock some more. I broke all the saw blades we had - hardware supply in town has some heavy duty diamond blades we are going to try.

I was doing research online and read about these treasure hunters in WaƂbrzych Poland that thought they had found a buried N**i gold train. This could be something like that! Everbody knew that LaMerk was staffed by smuggled N**i scientists (or atleast the internet knows) , throw in all the mystical symbols and it starts getting my gold detector a pingin'. This is going to be BIG!

Finally after hours of winding our way past fallen beams and old mining equipment we made down to the bottom of the main shaft. Only a short tunnel is passable - but it looks stable. Now for the weird part - we found a door down here! Not sure whats behind it, I must have beaten on that lock for the better part of an hour but no luck. That old lock is made of some seriously strong steel, and like everything else its got these weird symbols all over it. Larger shots going up on LamerkFoundry.com tonight.

This is the last room on the first level of the mine. Bunch of animal heads painted on the wall here with more voodoo writing. I personally can deal with this way better than the demon art. Tune in tomorrow as we delve deeper into the mines of Moria! Down the shaft we go to the lower levels of the mine.

Sorry about the distortion - must be something about being underground causing it. More photos coming soon....

In every clime and under every sun,
Death laughs at ye, mad mortals, as ye run;
And oft perfumes herself with myrrh, like ye
And mingles with your madness, irony!"

Down I go, wish me luck!

Hile Spelunkers! Sorry for the long time incommunicado thing but I've been doing some exploring and just tend to lose myself doing it. So the sinkhole on the property turns out to be an old mine entrance, considering the area its probably coal. So we cleared some of the debris away and were able to repel down the main shaft a couple of hunded feet to the first tunnel. Theres a pretty large open area and a tunnel leading east with weird symbols painted onto the beams. Larger versions on the site. More to come!

The LaMerk Foundry Airstrip (I think they were exaggerating a bit with the "Airport"). This whole building is completely rotten, which is a shame because you get an awesome view of the whole Foundry from the top of this thing.
