New : indie Enters into Definitive Agreement to Sell its Interest in Wuxi indie Microelectronics

indie has entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement with United Faith Auto-Engineering Co., Ltd., a publicly-listed company in the People’s Republic of China (“United Faith”) to sell its entire outstanding equity interest in Wuxi indie Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese entity (“Wuxi”) to United Faith.

“As indie continues to redefine its vision, with a strong focus on transitioning to higher-value and automated driver and safety solutions, the sale of Wuxi represents another positive step in our strategic progression,” said Mark Tyndall, executive vice president of corporate development and investor relations. “While we exit our equity position in Wuxi, China remains an important market for indie, supported by its strong, independent, and well-established sales channel, including local regional support,” added Tyndall.

indie announces it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire emotion3D GmbH, a Vienna, Austria-based specialist developer of advanced perception algorithms and software for in-cabin sensing, advanced driver assistance systems ( ) and automated driving.

“Automakers are increasingly demanding co-optimized hardware-software solutions for ADAS applications,” said Mark Tyndall, EVP of Corporate Development and IR at indie. “Already engaged with top global Tier 1 manufacturers and OEMs, emotion3D is supplying an innovative AI-based perception approach that is ideally suited to embedded ADAS sensing, extensible to vision, radar and sensor fusion applications.
