The New HVAC Unit Didn't Fix the Problem. Here's What Did.

A building owner recently invested in a new HVAC unit to solve persistent temperature complaints throughout their facility. Even after the new equipment was installed, the comfort issues remained.

After requesting a system survey, we identified the real problems: five of seven thermostats were reading more than 5°F off, the air distribution system was out of balance, and multiple VAV boxes were improperly calibrated.

Once the thermostats, balancing, and controls were corrected, the system performed as designed, delivering consistent comfort throughout the building. The result was a satisfied owner, happy tenants, and a system finally operating at its full potential.

New equipment does not always solve the problem. Often, the issue lies in how the system is operating.

Retro commissioning, evaluation of the controls systems, and air & water balancing can uncover and correct hidden system deficiencies, improving comfort, performance, and occupant satisfaction without unnecessary capital expense.
