We are so proud of the Wind Gap Middle School for winning the TEAM SPIRIT AWARD for their creative video compilation featuring FMI!! It was a great night celebrating What's So Cool About Manufacturing Lehigh Valley with our community!
The What's So Cool About Manufacturing Lehigh Valley contest is an annual event in which local manufacturers team up with middle school students. Organized by the Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC), this contest connects manufacturing companies with student teams to create a 2-minute video showcasing the industry.
This year, we had the privilege of partnering with Wind Gap Middle School!! A few months ago, the students visited us for a day of filming, and they created an incredibly creative video that highlights FMI!!

WOW. What a Fantastic Day at FMIâs Holiday Raffle...... Thank you to our special guest. 3. K-9 officers and their dogs. Last year FMI partnered with APD- Allentown Police Department to sponsor a much needed K-9 for the department. Yes Dingo was there.... a Fantastic day !

At the end of last year FMI donated enough money to the Allentown Police Department to add another K-9 to their force. Officer Krebs is now the owner of that K9- Dingo. The training and dedication that has happened between the two has been incredible. Now it makes our street a little safer at night. Hereâs Dingo........

FMI was founded by Kevin Rhodes in 1992 to provide contract manufacturing services to the industrial fragrance industry. In 1995, a random request by a prospective customer to fill bottles with massage oil changed the direction of the business into what it is todayâa customer-centered contract manufacturer for the beauty, personal, pet and home care industries.
Prior to starting FMI, Kevin worked for Proctor & Gamble as a manager in both their Staten Island, NY and Avenel, NJ manufacturing plants. It was at the Avenel fragrance plant where Kevin acquired an interest in industrial fragrances.
The request that forever changed the course of history for FMI was to fill 1000 units of four different fragrances of massage oils. The customer was frustrated by the lack of reliable, responsive, and flexible contract manufacturers. FMI took the order even though the company did not have any bottle filling equipment at the time. The order was filled, labeled, and packaged by hand with only a six day turnaround time. The customer experience embodied the transfer of trust that FMI wants for all customers. As a result, the customer expanded the business with FMI to include shampoos, lotions and several other types of products and is still a customer to this day.
The business has outgrown several smaller locations and is now located in a 160,000 square foot facility in Allentown, PA. Despite the growth, FMI has not changed its commitment to partnering with you and Bringing Your Products to Market Quickly and Hassle Free.
