Yesterday, we welcomed 11 summer interns to SmithBuilt with an office-wide breakfast, jobsite tour, and an afternoon of Topgolf! Throughout the summer, these young professionals will gain hands-on experience across multiple departments, including Field Management, Project Management, and Accounting. We are grateful they chose to spend their summer with SmithBuilt and look forward to watching each individual grow professionally, develop new skills, and gain valuable experience in our industry.

Our final First Place AGC Build Georgia Award winner for 2026 is the Woodstock High School CTAE Addition. This 50,000-square-foot expansion features new labs for fire and emergency services and health sciences, along with an administrative wing designed to support a growing curriculum and student body.

We’re grateful for our strong partnership with Cherokee County GA School District and proud to continue that work on the River Ridge High School Auxiliary Gym Addition. We look forward to celebrating the ribbon cutting on this next project together!

As we continue celebrating our 2026 First Place AGC Build Georgia Award-winning projects, we’re excited to highlight another winner: Northwest Whitfield High School Athletic Renovations and Additions.

Completed on an active campus, this project brought major upgrades across the school’s athletic facilities, including new football ticket booths, renovated concessions and field house, a new soccer field house, new tennis courts, a new baseball/softball field, press box, and a dedicated batting facility.

This recognition reflects the strong collaboration between our team, trade partners, and Whitfield County Schools. We’re grateful for the continued trust and are proud to be building on that partnership as we progress on Valley Point Elementary School Renovations.

SmithBuilt is proud to have been recognized with three First Place AGC Build Georgia Awards for 2026 and over the coming days we will be highlighting each project! Each recognition reflects the dedication, skill, and attention to detail our team brings to every project. We’re grateful for the trust of our clients and the collaboration of our trade partners who make this work possible!

We’re excited to begin by celebrating our first recognized project: the T. Scott Calvert Student Center Addition at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy. This state-of-the-art facility features weight training areas, locker rooms, concessions, office space, and a spacious event venue overlooking Arrow Field. We are thankful for the opportunity to work for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy and are excited to continue progress on their campus as we prepare for the topping out of the New Upper School!

Built in the heart of an active campus that never closed, and amid a dense network of existing utilities, this project required thoughtful planning, coordination, and constant collaboration to avoid disruptions to daily school operations. We’re grateful for the trust placed in us by Cherokee County GA School District and our partners at Cooper Carry - The Center for Connective Architecture to deliver a facility that will serve students for years to come.

We were grateful to welcome fifth-graders from Washington Park Elementary School to tour their new school addition and learn they’ll be the first students to walk its halls. Watching their excitement, curiosity, and pride reminded us why this work matters. We truly appreciate the trust Jasper County Charter System places in us and are honored to help build spaces that will serve this community for generations to come.
