There was a pretty good power surge that rolled through altus and the surrounding area. We have already been getting calls about units not coming back on. At this moment, if your experiencing any troubles with this. Turn all the breakers off to your hvac units and leave off for about 15 then turn the breakers back on and turn your system on and give it another 15.mins. this should solve board lock ups and compressor over temp. If not, reach out and we will assist as fast as possible! Thanks william

When storms are causing the power to go on and off—or you’re experiencing repeated power surges—your heating and air system can be at risk of electrical damage.

Here are a few things you can do to help protect your HVAC system:

⚔ Turn the HVAC breaker OFF if the power is repeatedly going out and coming back on.
⚔ Don’t keep resetting the breaker while the power is unstable.
⚔ Once the power comes back on, wait until it is stable and no longer flickering before turning your HVAC breaker back on.
⚔ If your system has a surge protector, make sure it is installed and functioning properly.
⚔ Consider having a whole-home surge protector or HVAC-specific surge protection installed to help protect sensitive electronic components in your system.
🚨 If you notice smoke, sparks, a burning smell, a blank thermostat, unusual noises, or your HVAC won't start after a storm, turn the system off and call a qualified HVAC professional.
šŸŒ§ļø Storms can be hard enough on your home—don't let repeated power surges take out your heating and air system, too!

Thanks for selecting Jim’s Heating & Air for your HVAC needs!

We completed a awesome change out for Mrs. Gibbons. Colton raised the whole inside by his self and wired it in. Way to go!

The new side-discharge HVAC unit looks significantly cleaner, more modern, and professional compared to the older system. The updated design provides a much more streamlined appearance while taking up less visual space around the home.

Beyond the improved appearance, the new 18 SEER side-discharge system offers a major efficiency upgrade over the older unit. With higher efficiency, the system can use less electricity to provide the same amount of cooling, which can help lower monthly utility bills and reduce overall operating costs. The savings will vary depending on the old unit’s efficiency, usage, and weather, but upgrading from an older, less-efficient system to an 18 SEER system can provide meaningful energy savings over the life of the equipment.

Overall, this upgrade provides better efficiency, potential energy savings, improved comfort, and a much cleaner modern look compared with the previous unit.

We appreciate the business and we hope you enjoy this new RUUD System!!
