The humidity spikes after lights turn off! Not really... When lights turn off, room temperature falls. Water v***r in the air (dew point temperature) does not change. A properly sized dehumidifier will turn on when relative humidity spikes and restore conditions to the room. The dehu cannot stop the RH spike. Turning off lights in stages will reduce the spike. This will turn on the dehu and create a longer cool down period to catch up on humidity control.

The cost of a hybrid dehumidifier, condenser and room air conditioner is at least 20% lower than the standard air conditioner and plug-in dehumidifiers. Power consumption is 15% lower.

Subcooled 550 dehumidifiers remove up to 550 pints of water per day (AHAM 80F, 60%rh) and provide 3 tons of cooling during lights-on. Up to 50% less room heat, results in a smaller air conditioner. Lights-off reheat delivers neural (near 75 degrees F) dry air.
