***Operator/Crew Leader****

Requirements:
*4+ Years installing underground utilities
*Valid Driver's License, CDL Preferred
*2+ Years heavy machinery operation
*2+ year working/laboring in trenches and "running a shovel"
*Able to work alone or in a crew
*Able to read specs and blueprints
*Working knowledge of all underground utilities
*An even demeanor and great attitude
*Team-player
*Excellent attendance record

Preferences:
*Valid Iowa CDL
*3+ years experience running small crews
*Bidding and estimating working experience

Pay:
$28/hour + DOE

*Paid weekly

*Major holidays - paid time off

Requirements:
*Valid Driver's License
*1+ years hands-on experience in underground utility installation
*1+ years operating heavy machinery
*1+ year working/laboring in trenches and job sites and "running a shovel"
*Able to work alone or in a crew
*Proactive team player
*Great attitude
*Transportation to and from shop and possibly job sites
*Excellent attendance record
*A valid Iowa CDL is a plus (but not required for this position)!

Pay:
$22/hour + DOE

The Schmidt Family (Dan, Danny, Brian, and Chris) acquired Ames Trenching & Excavating as of April 1, 2024. We intend to provide our customers with the same great (if not better) service and quality that rivals other companies in our industry.
