Rheanna Farquharson, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Biomedical Engineering Major
Rheanna joined us this summer as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, bringing curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for learning to the Campos Fabrication team. Throughout her internship, she gained hands-on exposure to a wide range of engineering disciplines and project phases, providing valuable insight into how complex projects move from design to completion.
"One of the biggest things I’ve gained during my internship at Campos Fabrication has been exposure to many different aspects of the engineering process. I had the opportunity to develop lifting plans using engineering calculations, redline and update P&ID drawings using Bluebeam, and use Navisworks to support coating estimates and project planning. I was also able to observe quality assurance and quality control testing, including pressure and leak tests, which gave me a better understanding of how system performance and safety are verified. In addition, I assisted with the material procurement process by preparing bills of materials and helping ensure materials were available for fabrication. I also had the chance to work alongside the electrical and fabrication teams, giving me insight into electrical fabrication, skid assembly, and how different teams work together to bring a project from design to completion. This experience has strengthened my technical skills and given me a greater appreciation for the collaboration, precision, and attention to detail that go into every project."
