For more than 45 years, Jerry Otto has helped shape Alaska's oil and gas industry, and we're proud to have him as part of the Fairweather team.

In this interview with Alaska Oil and Gas Historical Society, Jerry shares his journey from starting as a welder in 1981 to becoming a supervisor, along with the lessons, challenges and unforgettable moments he experienced throughout his career.

From building drilling rigs that could be flown into remote locations aboard Hercules C-130 aircraft to working in 40-below temperatures on the North Slope, Jerry reflects on how technology, safety, and the industry itself have evolved over the decades. He also shares a few incredible stories from the early days.

Jerry's experience is a testament to the hard work, innovation, and dedication that have helped build Alaska's energy industry. We're grateful to have his knowledge and leadership.
