Cheaper and rapidly deployable. Solar is the quickest way to get electricity into the grid. The quicker we can get electricity into the grid, the less LNG we’ll have to import. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Because gas prices are expected to rise in coming years amid a growing shortage in Cook Inlet, the solar project is poised to become cheaper than power generated by imported natural gas.

The Anchorage Museum is launching a solar project to power its work with clean, renewable energy—reducing costs and modeling sustainability for future generations. Phase 1 includes 120 solar panels and could save nearly $600,000 in energy costs over the next 25 years, as well as conserve our precious natural resources.

In case you missed it! Alaska Solar was part of a coalition of Alaskan energy and efficiency professionals that traveled to Washington DC recently to meet with our representatives to try to put a stop to renewable energy tax credit elimination.

Solar is the most rapidly deployable energy source on the planet. Why should renewable energy be held in a different category than any other energy source in this country’s hopeful road to energy dominance? We’re not taking anyone’s job - we’re adding jobs. After 150 years, fossil fuels are STILL subsidized federally. China spends nearly $1 trillion annually subsidizing renewable energy - if anything we need to be doubling down rather than backing away if we truly intend to compete. 🇺🇸

Here are some pics of an expansion we recently did for a return customer - a carport/storage area for their Ford Lightning ⚡️. They’re driving their truck on the sun at about 15% the cost of paying at the pump. But you don’t need an EV to benefit from the extreme savings adding solar into your home energy mix will provide.
