Donlin Gold values its partnership with the Alaska Native Heritage Center and its new exhibit highlighting the connection between Indigenous education before and after colonization. At the heart of the exhibit is the Dena’ina counting cord, a powerful symbol of Indigenous knowledge and the understanding of time passed through generations. We value partnerships that help preserve, share and celebrate Alaska Native cultures, traditions and ways of knowing for future generations.

Although it’s nearly summer now, these handmade parkas will come in handy during the colder fall and winter months ahead. Community, culture and craftsmanship were on display during a recent parka making class held in Stony River. Donlin Gold appreciates the opportunity to support programs that help share traditional skills with future generations.

Responsible development, local opportunity and long-term community investment remain central to the vision behind ANCSA. ANCSA Regional Association President Nicole Borromeo highlights why Alaska Native Corporations continue to play an important role in Alaska’s future and economic self-determination, and how projects like Donlin Gold fit into that broader conversation.

Gold helps power the technology and systems people rely on every day because of its conductivity, durability and resistance to corrosion. It is also used in medicine to help diagnose and treat certain conditions. As a result, resources like gold can help support modern tools and infrastructure while continuing to coexist with the regions where they are found. The Donlin Gold project is committed to developing this resource safely and responsibly, supporting Alaska’s communities and economy.
