Alaska Grid - The All Alaska Energy Project Affordable Power for a Sustainable Alaska
(1)

Alaska Grid is the vision of a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line designed for delivery of affordable power at maximum efficiency throughout the State of Alaska. Large-scale power generation on the North Slope utilizing 'stranded' natural gas would provide the economies of scale by providing power throughout the State of Alaska - enabling a sustainable economy and creating thousa

nds of jobs. The plan would lower emissions up to half by replacing aged, inefficient generation and providing access to otherwise inaccessible remote resources such as wind, hydro or tidal.
