🔍 Storm Damage Inspection Results: Not Every Roof Needs Replacing

This roof sits right in the path of last Friday's storm.

So, what did I find during my inspection?

Absolutely no storm damage.

No hail damage. No wind damage. No insurance claim needed.

What I did find were a few areas of mechanical damage (likely from foot traffic or other non-storm related causes). The homeowners were understandably concerned after hearing all the reports about the storm, so I was happy to give them an honest assessment.

Then, before I left, I grabbed some sealant and sealed the damaged areas for them — completely free of charge.

Because that's what serving homeowners is supposed to look like.

Too often, homeowners tell me they've had contractors stop by and immediately tell them their roof is destroyed, the sky is falling, and they need to file an insurance claim right away.

That's not how we do business at Platinum Restoration.

Sometimes a roof needs to be replaced. Sometimes an insurance claim is warranted. And sometimes the best thing we can do is tell a homeowner:

✅ Your roof is in good shape. ✅ You don't need to spend any money. ✅ You don't need to file a claim.

We're perfectly okay with that.

We believe honesty and integrity are more valuable than a quick sale. We'd rather earn your trust and be your contractor for life than make a sale today and disappear tomorrow.

If you're wondering whether your home was affected by the recent storms and want an honest, no-pressure opinion, reach out today.

We'll tell you what we find — not what we wish we found.

🚨 ROSEVILLE HOMEOWNERS: TODAY'S HAIL STORM WAS NO JOKE 🚨

Roseville was one of several communities impacted by today's severe weather, with reports of hail ranging from marble-sized stones to larger, damaging hail capable of affecting roofing, siding, gutters, window wraps, garage doors, and other exterior surfaces.

If your home was in the path of today's storm, now is the time to document any potential damage before the evidence disappears.

At Platinum Restoration, we've built our reputation on something simple:

Honesty. Integrity. Documentation.

We're not interested in high-pressure sales tactics or convincing homeowners they have damage when they don't. In fact, many times we inspect homes and tell homeowners everything looks great.

But when we do find storm damage, we believe in proving it.

That's why we developed our Evidence Package process.

Our Evidence Package includes:

📸 Detailed photo documentation
📋 Professional inspection reports
🌩️ Storm verification and weather data
🏠 Comprehensive repair estimates
📂 Organized documentation designed to present factual evidence to your insurance company

Whether you're considering filing a claim, have already filed one, or simply want peace of mind, our goal is to provide you with the facts so you can make an informed decision.

Storm damage can be difficult to spot from the ground, and unfortunately many homeowners don't discover problems until leaks, staining, or premature deterioration begin months or even years later.

If you're in Roseville and would like an honest assessment of your home's exterior, send me a message.

No pressure. No gimmicks. Just facts.

Because integrity matters, and evidence speaks for itself.

🚨 METRO HOMEOWNERS: TODAY'S HAIL STORM WAS NO JOKE 🚨

Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Fridley, Roseville, Maplewood, and several surrounding communities were hit by hail this afternoon, with reports of hailstones ranging from marble-sized to larger, spiky formations like the ones pictured here.

If your area was in the path of this storm, now is the time to document the damage — before it disappears.

At Platinum Restoration, we do things differently.

❌ No high-pressure sales tactics
❌ No scare tactics
❌ No promises we can't keep

✅ Honest inspections
✅ Clear documentation
✅ Education first, sales second

Our specialty is what we call the Evidence Package.

If we find storm damage, we don't just tell you about it. We provide: 📸 Detailed photo documentation
📋 Professional inspection reports
🌩️ Storm data and weather verification
🏠 A complete repair estimate
📂 A package designed to help homeowners present factual evidence to their insurance company

Whether your claim is approved, denied, or you're simply unsure if there's damage at all, our goal is to make sure you have the information needed to make an informed decision.

The storm may only last a few minutes, but the damage can affect your roof, siding, gutters, window wraps, garage doors, and other exterior components for years.

If your home was in the storm path today and you'd like an honest assessment, send me a message or give me a call.

Integrity matters. Documentation matters. Facts matter.

That's why we built the Evidence Package.

🌳 When you hire a contractor, you're not just hiring them for the easy days. You're hiring them for the unexpected ones too.

This home in Madison was scheduled for a new roof installation next week.

Then last night's storm had other plans.

A large tree came crashing down onto the home, causing significant new damage to the roof, fascia, gutters, and exterior. The homeowners woke up to a situation no one wants to face.

While many companies would simply push the project back and wait for someone else to handle it, that's not how we do things at Platinum Restoration.

Our team immediately coordinated emergency protection for the home, documented the new damage, and began helping the homeowners navigate the next steps so their property could be secured and their claim properly updated.

What makes this story even more meaningful?

This home is in Madison, nearly 5 hours away from our office.

But whether you're 5 minutes away or 5 hours away, our commitment stays the same.

✅ We answer the phone.
✅ We show up when we say we will.
✅ We protect your home as if it were our own.
✅ We guide you through the process from start to finish.

Storm damage restoration isn't just about installing roofs and siding. It's about being there when homeowners need someone they can trust.

That's the difference between hiring a contractor and partnering with a restoration company that truly stands behind its customers.

If recent storms have impacted your home, or if you'd simply like peace of mind knowing everything is okay, reach out. We're here to help.

Near or far. Before the storm, after the storm, and every step in between.

Unfortunately, us here at Platinum Restoration will miss tonight's car show. A tree fell on our customers home today, and we have to make sure they're protected.

Sometimes the best part of this job isn’t the roof itself — it’s the relationships built along the way.

Messages like this are exactly why I put so much time, care, and effort into every project I take on. To me, homeowners are never “just another sale” or “just another roof.” These are people trusting us with one of the biggest investments they have: their home.

At Platinum Restoration, we don’t just build roofs — we build meaningful connections, trust, and peace of mind through the process.

Notes like these remind me why I keep doing what I do every single day. Thank you to all of the homeowners who trust us to take care of their homes and their families. It truly means more than you know. ❤️

🏆 Hard work. High standards. Consistency. 🏆

At Platinum Restoration, we’ve never tried to be the biggest roofing company in Minnesota. Our goal has always been to be one of the BEST.

These awards from GAF weren’t handed out overnight — they represent years of training, craftsmanship, customer service, and doing things the right way, even when nobody is watching.

Throughout the years, Platinum Restoration & Remodeling has been recognized by GAF with multiple Excellence Awards and President’s Club honors. That means we’ve consistently met some of the highest standards in the roofing industry for:

✔️ Installation Excellence
✔️ Consumer Protection
✔️ Ongoing Professional Training
✔️ Customer Satisfaction
✔️ Quality Workmanship

One of the awards pictured is the prestigious GAF President’s Club Award — an honor reserved for top-performing GAF Master Elite contractors who demonstrate exceptional performance, reliability, and service year after year. Fewer than 2% of roofing contractors in North America even qualify as GAF Master Elite contractors to begin with.

The 2-Star President’s Club recognition represents sustained excellence over multiple years, not just a one-time achievement.

To us, these awards mean one thing: When a homeowner chooses Platinum Restoration, they’re choosing a company that is committed to doing the job correctly, standing behind the work, and continuously improving.

We’re proud to be family-owned, Minnesota-based, and trusted by homeowners across the Twin Cities metro area.

Thank you to every homeowner, referral partner, and team member who helped make this possible. We don’t take that trust lightly.
