Well, I’m back from a trip that I don’t think I can top in my lifetime! After two years of planning and dreaming I finally took the trip to Antarctica.
I saw the most incredible sites. The most untouched surfaces on the Earth. I encountered penguins, whales and leopard seals and other wildlife.
If you look through all my massive amount of pictures, which I only gave you a fraction of you will see some incredible things that I saw. But yet still, it will never do it. Any justice. A person has to be in the area to appreciate the size and Beauty. It’s only possible to go to these places during a short couple months of the year because it’s summer there. 22 hours of daylight approximately. I never really get dark. I saw more than my brain could handle. Almost like a rebirth.
The only thing I don’t like is it’s going to be almost impossible to feel those feelings again anywhere else. Well unless I go back because I only saw the very tip of the peninsula.
I went through the Drake passage on the way down and it was a lake. But then I experienced the great Drake lake on the way home. The captain said that we experienced the best on the way down and the worst on the way home. Wins clocked at over 100 miles an hour waves passing 40 feet in height. The boat was tossed around like a toy in the ocean. If you were not sitting you were flying.
I made some amazing connections! I made new friends. I saw things I thought I’d never seen in my lifetime. And I experienced life-changing events.
I only purchased one day of Internet service. And I must admit it was absolutely wonderful not to be connected to the world for a period of time.
But I am back now! And I am looking for work to do in February!
So if you have a deck project or outdoor living, please call me so we can get started!
Of course you know we do home repair repairs, and remodeling as well!
Yes, there are a few of you still on my list to get a few things done that we’re working on trying to get through. I have not forgot about you.
Thank you to all of my followers and customers and friends! If it wasn’t for you, I would not have been able to take this amazing trip.
And most importantly, thank you to my guys who stayed behind and made it possible for me to be gone. They all did a wonderful job and made it easy to come home.
I did have to miss some hockey. But sacrifices must be made.
I hope you enjoy the photographs! And please try and take this trip someday! I would love for you and I to share our experiences!
